Gates Management & Realty has been in business since 1994. Originally, Gates was a property management company dealing mostly in single home dwellings and the was started by two local gentlemen in the 70's. Owned later by Jordan Properties in Saxapahaw, NC. In the early 90's, it was sold to Betsy and Darnell Gates, two sisters in wheelchairs (MS). Both of whom died rather tragically. Gates was then purchased from the brother after their deaths.
